Your privacy is fundamentally important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Alibi Machine (the "App"), developed by GiveMeMood, handles your information. For general information about the App, please visit Alibi Machine — Get My Alibi on our website at givememood.com.

1. Our Core Privacy Commitment

Alibi Machine does not directly collect, transmit, or share any personal data through its own servers. All information generated and stored within the App — including your settings, language preferences, document styles, and generated alibi content — resides exclusively on your device.

GiveMeMood does not operate any servers that receive your data. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties. However, the App integrates with Google AdMob and Google Play Billing, which collect certain technical data as described in Sections 4–5 below.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following information may be saved locally on your device using standard storage (Android SharedPreferences):

  • App settings: selected UI language, document language, font size preference;
  • Document style and signature style selections;
  • Premium subscription status (verified locally via Google Play);
  • Generated document content (only if you choose to export or save it).

This data is stored solely on your device. It is never transmitted to GiveMeMood. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings (Android Settings → Apps → Alibi Machine → Storage → Clear Data) or by uninstalling the App.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

GiveMeMood does not collect or process:

  • Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information;
  • Your location data;
  • Photos, files, contacts, calendar, messages, or audio data;
  • Health, fitness, or financial information;
  • Web browsing history;
  • Any content you generate within the App (such generated text remains on your device only).

4. Data Collected by Google AdMob (Free Version Only)

The free version of Alibi Machine displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob is a Google service operating independently of GiveMeMood. AdMob collects the following data types directly from your device:

  • Device identifiers — including your Advertising ID;
  • App interactions — taps on advertisements, ad impressions, screen views;
  • Diagnostics — app version, device model, operating system version, network type.

Tracking notice: AdMob uses your Advertising ID and app interaction data to track your activity across other apps and websites for the purpose of displaying personalized advertisements, measuring ad performance, and detecting fraudulent activity. This data is collected, processed, and stored by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

GiveMeMood receives only aggregated, non-personally-identifiable reports from the AdMob dashboard (such as total impressions, fill rate, and revenue). We have no access to individual user data collected by AdMob.

Premium subscribers see no advertisements. When you subscribe to Alibi Machine Premium, all banner and interstitial ads are disabled in the App, and AdMob is not initialized for ad serving.

Opting out of personalized ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:

  • Android Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization;
  • Google Ad Settings — manage Google ad personalization across devices.

5. Subscription and Payments (Google Play Billing)

Alibi Machine offers an optional Premium subscription at $1.99 per month (after a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers), processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. GiveMeMood does not collect, process, or store any payment information.

Google Play Billing handles all subscription transactions. Google may store your purchase history, subscription status, and payment method on its servers in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google Play's Terms of Service. GiveMeMood receives only aggregated subscription metrics (such as active subscriber count and churn rate) without personal payment information.

To verify whether your subscription is active, the App communicates with Google Play's billing library on your device. This verification does not transmit any additional personal data to GiveMeMood.

6. Device Permissions

Alibi Machine may request the following device permissions:

  • Storage / Media access — to save exported PNG and PDF documents to your device's gallery or Downloads folder;
  • Internet access — required to load advertisements (free version) and to verify your Premium subscription status with Google Play.

No permission data is transmitted to GiveMeMood. You can manage app permissions at any time through your device's settings.

7. Third-Party Services

Alibi Machine integrates with the following third-party services operated by Google LLC:

8. Your Rights — GDPR (European Users) and CCPA (California Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you have specific rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Because Alibi Machine itself does not collect personal data on its servers, the only data subject to these rights is what is collected by Google AdMob and Google Play Billing. Your rights include:

  • Right to access the data collected about you;
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data;
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten");
  • Right to restrict processing;
  • Right to data portability;
  • Right to opt out of personalized advertising and the sale of personal information (CCPA).

To exercise these rights regarding data collected by Google services, please use:

  • My Google Activity — to view and manage data Google has collected;
  • Google Ad Settings — to opt out of personalized ads;
  • Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

For any data-related requests directed at GiveMeMood, please contact givememood@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that since we do not collect personal data, we typically have no data to provide, correct, or delete.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Since GiveMeMood does not collect personal data, no data retention applies to information held by us. All locally stored data on your device is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

Data collected by Google AdMob and Google Play Billing is retained according to Google's own data retention policies, which you can review in Google's Privacy Policy.

10. Age Requirements and Children's Privacy

Alibi Machine is intended for users aged 18 and over. The App contains adult-oriented humor about deception and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has used the App, please be assured that no personal data has been collected by GiveMeMood. You may delete any locally stored app data at any time via your device's settings.

11. Future Platform Availability

Alibi Machine is currently available for Android. When an iOS version of the App is released, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect any platform-specific permissions or differences. The core principle — no direct data collection by GiveMeMood — will remain unchanged. Updated information will be published on our Alibi Machine app page.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

GiveMeMood may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
